The Application to Register as a Candidate for Admission requests the following information (you need an account to open this page)

  1. Certificate executed by the dean of the law school where one first began the study of law certifying when one first began the study of law
    • To obtain this, submit the Certificate of Dean form to Academic Services. The dean will sign it and Academic Services will submit it to the Ohio Supreme Court.  Academic Services has a deadline in mid-October. Watch your inbox for an email from Jay Ruffner with the exact date.
  2. College transcript from institution granting bachelor's degree. There is an email address to which you should email your transcript.
  3. Applicant's Character Questionnaire
  4. Form 7A Authorization and Release Form (properly notarized)
    • DO NOT sign before you meet with the notary.
    • Jennifer Hines in the Academic Services Office can notarize bar application forms between the hours of 9:00a.m - 2:00 p.m.  SaraJean Petite in the Law Library is also a notary.
  5. Photo ID
    • "The upload should include one of the following: a front and back copy of a driver’s license, other state-issued photo identification card, or passport style photo."
  6. If applicable, one needs to include a petition, Foreign Education Evaluation (WES or ECE course by course evaluation), and Supplemental Documentation.
