The Application to Register as a Candidate for Admission requests the following information (you need an account to open this page)
- Certificate executed by the dean of the law school where one first began the study of law certifying when one first began the study of law
- To obtain this, submit the Certificate of Dean form to Academic Services. The dean will sign it and Academic Services will submit it to the Ohio Supreme Court. Academic Services has a deadline in mid-October. Watch your inbox for an email from Jay Ruffner with the exact date.
- College transcript from institution granting bachelor's degree. There is an email address to which you should email your transcript.
- Applicant's Character Questionnaire
- Form 7A Authorization and Release Form (properly notarized)
- DO NOT sign before you meet with the notary.
- Jennifer Hines in the Academic Services Office can notarize bar application forms between the hours of 9:00a.m - 2:00 p.m. SaraJean Petite in the Law Library is also a notary.
- Photo ID
- "The upload should include one of the following: a front and back copy of a driver’s license, other state-issued photo identification card, or passport style photo."
- If applicable, one needs to include a petition, Foreign Education Evaluation (WES or ECE course by course evaluation), and Supplemental Documentation.
