In 1963, "William E. Baldwin, of Banks Baldwin Law Publishing Co., presented a complete collection of
Vanity Fair Albums (London, 1869-1912) to the CWRU Law Library. The yearbooks feature color lithographs of sovereign statesmen, judges and men of the day. Each print is accompanied by a description, often caustic" (Law Alumni Review, Summer 1963 @5).
For those familiar with the Law Library, Banks Baldwin also donated our "Ernie" sculpture located on the first floor of the Law Library; "Ernie" can also be seen in one of this archive's historic Banks-Baldwin photographs displayed in the first floor conference room.
