Advanced Contracts (LAWS 5902)

Course Info

This class will examine the methodology of law and economics and of deontological approaches to contracts, legal realism, the methodology of default rules, gap filling and incomplete contracts, adjustment of long-terms contracts, employment contracts and the employment at will doctrine, promissory estoppel, relational contracts, incorporation strategies in the U.C.C. and the new formalism in Contracts.


Prof. Juliet Kostritsky

Prof. Juliet Kostritsky is the Everett D. & Eugenia S. McCurdy Professor of Contract Law and Director of the Center for Business Law at CWRU School of Law. She has practiced in the banking/corporate world, delivered papers at international conferences, and is a member of the prestigious American Law Institute. She teaches Contracts, Sales, Commercial Paper, Advanced Contracts and the Business and Law Colloquium.
