If you have a laptop or desktop computer you will want to set up wireless and/or wired access to the Case network. Install the CISCO AnyConnect VPN client on your laptop and other devices for complete and secure access to University network resources.

When should you use VPN?

Use the Case VPN Client to ensure the security of your User ID and password and for access to proprietary network resources such as research databases and your law school network files.

  • CaseWireless (alone) = Secure, Fast and Provides access to proprietary network resources
  • CaseGuest Wireless + VPN = Secure, Fast and Provides access to proprietary network resources
  • Off-Campus Network + VPN = Secure and Provides access to proprietary network resources such as research databases and the software center.

CaseGuest (alone) is slow, insecure, and does not provide access to proprietary network resources


MyApps

MyApps provides a virtual desktop environment with access to run all of the software licensed to any CWRU community member based on program of study, course enrollment or role at the university, without the need for installation on a computer.

Users may open and save files on any personal device storage, USB drives, Box account and network drives. MyApps is compatible with:

  • Windows
  • Mac
  • iOS
  • Android
  • Or by running directly in an HTML5 compatible web browser
